Paul Aisen, M.D. is the founding director of USC ATRI (Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute). He has been a leading figure in Alzheimer’s disease research for more than two decades, having developed novel methodologies as well as designed and directed many large therapeutic trials. Honoring Town and Gown of USC Past Presidents

Paul Aisen, MD is the Epstein Alzheimer’s Disease Director’s Chair, and Founding Director of the Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) of the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Dr. Aisen has been a leading figure in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research for nearly four decades, having developed novel methodologies which have led to the exciting pronouncement that we will have AD prevention within ten years.

The success of newly approved treatments which slow progression of AD-related brain damage by about 30 percent is just the beginning. His research—and ATRI’s position as the nation’s hub for better Alzheimer’s clinical trials—has played an unprecedented role in the foundation of AD treatments today. He looks forward to sharing his 10-year roadmap with Town & Gown of USC on March 4!
